Eight years ago I was in my seventh year as an I.T support analyst and I decided I'd had enough and wanted to do something else. I'd always had an interest in plants and decided to try my hand as a professional gardener. I've since worked in retail nurseries on Mount Macedon, production indigenous nurseries in Wildwood and worked four years as a gardener at International House (a residential college of Melbourne University). I now renovate and maintain residential gardens in Melbourne and the Macedon Ranges.
I have a Certificate 3 in horticulture parks and gardens, an agricultural chemical users permit and are currently completing a degree in horticulture at Melbourne University's Burnley campus. My insurance covers me for $5,000,000 of damage to third party property.
I believe a garden should simply be a space you find pleasurable whether it be ornamental or edible or both. I place emphasis on both plant material and hard landscaping elements.
Sometimes it's hard to find time to maintain your garden. I've been gardening in the Macedon Ranges, Sunbury and inner Melbourne for years. Whether it's a big clean up or a small task I can help out.
Had enough of your garden and want an overhaul or renovation? I can clean up the yard, remove unwanted vegetation and help in changing your outdoor space into something you enjoy.
My family has been involved in the timber business for years. My father taught me the ins and outs of timber selection. I can build you beautiful raised beds from hardwoods less commonly found in most gardens. If you're into low maintenance and low water usage gardens I can make wicking beds which both save you time and benefit the environment.
Most of us love a but of turf but most of us do not love mowing it. I can mow and edge your lawn freeing up some time for you to enjoy your weekend.
